Humanistic Management and the Business and Human Rights Discourse
The Business and Human rights Forum of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights at the United Nations (OHCHR) is the major annual multi-stakeholder event on the topic of business and human rights (BHR). For the fifth consecutive time we are joining the Forum with a Humanistic Management Delegation and are happy to invite our delegates to a pre-conference workshop on the 24th November 2019 in Geneva.
This year’s Forum is taking place from the 25th to the 27th of November 2019 in the Geneva headquarters of the United Nations, the Palais des Nations. The workshop we are hosting on the day before is aiming to deliver on two counts. First we will present and discuss the strong connection between Humanistic Management and human rights. While the foundation for our definition of Humanistic Management is unconditional respect for the dignity of life, the preamble of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states that the “recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world.” Secondly, this workshop will provide a platform for exchange for our members to assess opportunities to collaborate and update each other on activities and initiatives from our community around the globe.
Please get in touch if you are interested in joining the Humanistic Management delegation and you can take a look at the BHR Forum website here: http://www.ohchr.org/2019ForumBHR
