The Foundations of Business Ethical Reflection

This paper provides impetus to raise the ethical literacy on the executive floor by outlining the foundations of ethical reflection in a business context.

The ability to derive practical implications of responsible managerial conduct from ethical considerations is contingent upon the ability to reflect on ones options for varying courses of action under the guidance of a robust ethical compass. This paper aims at providing such a compass, not by provision of a how to guide on business ethics but by providing orientation-knowledge that can be deployed in any context.

Take a look at this paper to find out about the two steps taken, firstly deriving responsibility from the need for legitimacy and, secondly, legitimacy from the reciprocity of moral rights.
